FAQ's

Q. How much money do I have to raise to be involved?

A. $1500 for and individual swimmer of $3000 for a team of 3.

Q. If I am an individual swimmer who will I be sharing a room with?

A. As an individual swimmer you will be matched up with other individual swimmers of the same sex in a triple share room, which is included in the registration fee. If you would prefer to
have a room to yourself, or would like to bring your family along please contact Erina Chapman (erinac@tangalooma.com or 07 3637 2147) at Tangalooma for the schedule of rates. Please note
that single share and family rooms are subject to availability.

Q. How do I get to the swim boat and cage?

A. Swimmers will be transported out to the swim boat and cage via a support vessel. The support vessel will pick you up from your designated meeting location and transport you out to the swim
boat for your swim. Please note that if you are swimming on the first wave of the day, you will board the swim boat from the jetty.

Q. Do I have to pay for my accommodation at Tangalooma on Friday night?

A. As a swimmer, your accommodation on Friday night at Tangalooma Island Resort on a triple-share basis is included as part of the money raised. Please note that guests of swimmers will be required to pay for their accommodation if staying overnight.

Q. I have completed the online registration. When will I find out what time I will be swimming?

A. Swimmers will receive a letter via email confirming their launch transfers times, accommodation details, and swim wave details 1-2 weeks prior to the event. Please note that preferences will be on
a first come, first served basis.

Q. Can I bring a friend/my family along with me? How much will this cost?

A. Yes, you may bring a friend or family along as a supporter. Any supporters will be required to pay for their own return launch transfers, meals and accommodation. You can also upgrade your
accommodation to stay together in the same room.

Q. Will there be any additional costs for me?

A. As a swimmer, the celebration dinner on Friday night, Tangalooma’s wild dolphin feeding experience, all boat transfers to and from Tangalooma and the swim boat, and buffet breakfast on
Saturday morning are all included at no cost to you. Any additional meals, tours and activities etc will be at your own expense.

Q. How far do I have to swim?

A. Its completely up to you – you can swim as far or as little as you like. We bring along beach balls and boogey boards so there is plenty of fun to be had by everyone!

Q. How long will I spend on the swim boat?

A. You should expect to spend up to 2-3 hours on board the swim boat, plus extra time for transfers
